Google can now compose an email
The technology corporation, Google, has declared that it
will now be responsible for composing your email messages.
Gmail, a messaging platform utilized by over 1.8 billion
individuals globally, is set to leverage cutting-edge generative AI technology
to craft comprehensive emails with minimal input from the user.
During its yearly conference, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai
disclosed the progress made in this area and demonstrated the system's ability
to compose a refund request for a cancelled flight to an airline. The 'Help Me
Write' function will integrate information from prior emails and also provide
the user with the possibility to 'expand', whereby it will produce a more
lengthy, seemingly more compelling and heartfelt message.
Another novel attribute is the 'Magic Editor,' which will
enable users to make significant modifications to photographs with a straightforward
edit. This includes changing the background to a blue sky, relocating one's
position, or removing other individuals from the picture.
According to Mr. Pichai, Google is utilizing cutting-edge
generative AI technology - the same software powering its chatbot Bard and
competitor Chat-GPT - to completely transform its fundamental products.
However, tech experts, academics, and politicians have been urging for
increased regulation and even an urgent halt to the 'hazardous' AI arms race.
