The Council of Researchers on Artificial Intelligence, experts, will be formed

 

The government is making preparations to hold an inaugural meeting of the council in the near future. The statement focused on  the challenges of artificial intelligence, including the spread of misinformation and the protection of personal data.. The ministers agreed to establish common rules and standards for responsible AI development and usage, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between governments, industry, and civil society. By working together to promote global AI governance, the G7 countries aim to ensure that AI technology benefits society while mitigating potential risks and harms. Japan's participation in this meeting and commitment to responsible AI governance align with its efforts to develop national policies and regulations for generative AI technology.
